Diet

Here at DCC we strive to provide healthy meals for our children to promote healthy, growing bodies and minds. We have a full-time chef on staff who prepares fresh meals and snacks in house daily. We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack everyday. Due to several children with food allergies we are a nut free school. We are also welcoming to our families cultures and food preferences and accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian lifestyles.

 

Garden


We grow our own vegetables where children have the opportunity to learn about the plant life cycle and have an opportunity to care for the plants. Once the vegetables are harvested they are then used as produce in our menu.

This year we grew cucumbers, zucchini, green peppers, and tomatoes!

Cantaloupe and Milk Corn and Mandarin Oranges Mixed Berries

 

Friday: Bagels with Strawberry Jam Ground Turkey Lasagna Cinnamon Tortillas

Mixed Fruit and Milk Roasted Broccoli and Blueberries Fruit Salad
